Super!!
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/super-eruption-...36287.html

So they thought the new land of America was an undiscovered, sparsely populated land - well that was probably because most of the original inhabitants were either vulcanised (:-) or had evacuated the continent earlier.. Doh!

Yellowstone Caldera is already 40,000 years over due Sad but when it does go its going to really bugger up the survivalist communities in the tri state area.

Dont think so, but the Discovery channel / Nat Geo program on the issue was rather bleak, NW states of the US and western provinces of Canada uninhabitable, clouds of volcanic ash spreading east as far as New York and Boston, high probability of years without summer in the northern hemisphere etc.

there's even a supervolcano game... where you manage the road blocks, emergency broadcasting etc. I think it's fo rkids to teach them... um... that, er, volcanoes are fun! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programm...game.shtml

Now thats an excellent idea for an adult strategy game on an immense scale - with add on packs for further effects on different continents! Superduper....

RE: Super!!
It could actually make a good game done properly. That game seem to lack the 'super' it just cracks a few roads and messes a few buildings with pyroclastic flows. It doesn't touch on the monumental ash cloud.

Perhaps it's a good job there are lot of preppers over the pond.
