Fun teaching kids at olympic torch relay
Managed to get into town to watch part of the torch relay cos the wife wanted to see a bunch of people wasting millions of pounds of tax payers money. So I took the kids and spent the time teaching the kids to spot plain clothes plods and the places they chose to set up as OP's , The results were plentyful, whilst wifey watched lots of cops from London, Northumbria, Durham, Cleveland and North Yorks raking in the OT escorting people I have never heard of. We blagged at least 12 plain clothed plods and also spotted scopes and cameras sticking out from the parish church tower. That and a 360% digital camera system on one of the coaches scanning the entire crowd as it drove past.

Big brother is alive and well.

The bloody thing is going right past work soon. I was going to ignore it (I think the whole thing is a waste of time and money) but I might just have to pop out an see how many old bill I can spot. Shame I can't get on the roof of the building without setting alarms off. Although that's probably not the best place to be with lots of police around...

Probably not technically - but I'm sure they'd think of something! I presume that it would be causing a panic / giving them something to do. Which obviously would come under the superb anti-terrorist laws we have now.

Dontchya love feeling safe and protected Wink

the torch came through our town-not the bit we live in but the bit half a mile away- it took all of 5 minutes and then it was all over( shows you how small our town is), we didnt bother with it but went out for the day.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

You could've done whatever you'd fancied in that time. All the local 5-0 will be either watching it or "guarding" it.
