RE: what do you like best about SUK.NET ?
the friendliness of the forum, you can say pretty much what is in your mind on any given subject and you dont get jumped on from a great height as you do on other sites, some times you get the wee-wee taken but its all done with the greatest respect, i have felt since i joined this site that we are all one big happy family and thats not something i could say about other sites.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

RE: what do you like best about SUK.NET ?
Speaking as a new member, the reason i joined was a combination of the openness and lack of moderation of the site combined with some of the projects being worked on like the comms network.
I dont like being told what to do, how often to post, or warned for non pc behaviour so the way this place is set up seems to suit me.
I ignore the bits I dont like and contribute if possible in the areas I do like, works for me
You have the right to hold any beliefs you want. You do not have the right to have those beliefs automatically respected

RE: what do you like best about SUK.NET ?
Lack of silly rules
Lack of petty objectors
Lack of control freaks
Lack of Americans
The very high quality of most of the contributors
The amazing spectrum of expertise of specialists and their willingness to share
The everyone is equal approach regardless of how long you have been prepping

RE: what do you like best about SUK.NET ?
For me it's the friendliness and openness of the forum.
Not trying to reorganize the world just content to view things on a sensible level but still keeping people informed about "the big picture" with attention being drawn to current events.
Threads are interesting and informative, I've been pleasantly surprised about the in depth knowledge some of the contributors have.
Like NR, I like to contribute but more importantly LEARN.
Something I have been doing a lot of thanks.
Not a lot of abuse or swearing helps enormously.
The occasional soap box debate but that adds to the fun.
A hell of a lot better than some UK forums where your opinions have to fit in with the "self appointed senior member element" and you have to tow "the party line".
Marks out of 10, a good 11!

RE: what do you like best about SUK.NET ?
hmmm for me i think its a combination of most of whats been said,
im treated like an adult, im not told how i should act,
my views are respected and not simply shot down,
it feels like one big family!
theres alot of very innovative and talented individuals on
the forum who are more than happy to share what they know
your not told how you should prep either, alot of places and people seem to think that if your going to prep you should build a bunker and spend thousands and thousands on top notch equipment and move to africa and whatever else, but here your welcome to take as much or as little info, and to prep as much or as little as you wish, and thats great!!
thanks SD for making SUKnet THE place to be

RE: what do you like best about SUK.NET ?
I lurv this site because I can voice my ideas and opinions without being made to sound or feel like a fool or a lil girl that doesn't know what she is talking about. I have noticed if someone has a different opinion to anyone else that there is no bitchiness.
A few friendly exchanges of words and things are sorted
Loads of useful info and I mean loads, All diff subjects and not same old, same old.
I spend hours on here everyday and never get bored.
I have only been a user on this group for a few weeks and hope to spend many, many more reading all the posts and comments.

RE: what do you like best about SUK.NET ?
Pretty much same as all before have said.
Tons of useful info. A core group of regular active posters who mostly seem pretty well aligned with my own thoughts and beliefs, something I don't often find in my day to day life. It's a place where I don't feel insane for wanting to prep. And this site is clearly here for genuinely altruistic reasons, I don't have ads shoved in my face on every page, there's no moderator power trips or huge ego battles, it just does exactly what it says on the tin. A bunch of likeminded people sharing knowledge and opinions in a friendly manner
