Originally found the 100 micron stuff on amazon, and upon going back to it found this from one of the comments. I'm seriously looking at the 175 micron stuff here and know I would feel a lot safer with this stuff on my downstairs windows. It wouldn't stop a full on assault, but with some nice thorny bushes below the windows it would stop them getting good hits on it and would hold up for long enough for you to do something about it methinks.
Would certainly stop the quick "smash and open from the inside" burglaries.

When I last bought some it was from B & Q for laminating glass doors to stop kids from falling through, cannot remember how thick it was or its light transmission values either.
