e-Bay: a couple of NVIS units
For anyone in our group looking for NVIS equipment, I noticed these on e-bay at the weekend:

This SGC is a military grade general coverage transceiver.

This MFJ is a complete low power station, which includes one of the recommended Antenna tuning units.

Good spot LS.
That's a lot of money though especially if the transmitter is designed for CW only.
There is another option prospective NVIS operators might like to consider.

Buy a basic HF transceiver at a Ham fest ( £120 up ) and add a tone capable key (£35 up)
(For the novices that's a Morse key that generates an audible 'beep' into the mic socket )
and you'll have the best of all worlds.
Voice and CW.

It's quite a common technique with users of "slightly naughty" CB sets.

Hi BOB,

I'm not sure ifthe SGC will do this. Probably yes, but you'd need to study the product manual.

Its quite a rare requirement to be able to do cross manding on HF though.

Sorry I can't be mire positive in my answer.
