Might also want to keep an eye on ex MOD vehicles http://www.mod-sales.com/auction/ as they go quite cheap and can be fixed up easily enough.
Not designed for daily use obviously, but when SHTF who's gonna care about MOT or tax to get you or someone you know out of trouble. Although if you have the money, time and skills you could fix them up

I was at Witham on Saturday picking some gear up and having a gander around. They have about 10% of their stock online. You wouldn't believe the place, it's a preppers heaven! Tanks, APC, Trucks, Police vehicles, Fire engines. If I had the money I could easily have spent a couple of million in there!
