what would you do if you have a fire or someone has started a fire at your house do you have extinguishers or some other method of fighting a fire ???

After last Septs house fire I keep three x 1KG dry powder extinquishers, put smoke detector up and down stairs, educated family best ways of escaping, Garden hose is left permanantly fastened to outside tap and the flow restrictor flow back preventer thingy has been cut out.

but failing that NR's got the right idea ^^ fire extinguishers are always useful Smile

just know your fire, memorise that fire triangle and the quicker you tackle the fire, the easier it is to tame, start lots of fires (as all good preppers should Big Grin) and get used to how it works, those reasons that make it hard to start a fire, can be used to stop a fire too ^^

Got smoke alarms in every room. Mains powered with battery back up. Linked.

Plus various types fire extinguishers.

Even do the odd fire drill. But now it is mentioned not done that since the kids moved out.

1 fire alarm upstairs, 1 fire alarm downstairs, plus 1 fire extinguisher kept on the stairs...its a small house!Big Grin
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

Smoke alarms all rooms, carbon monoxide detectors by stoves.
3 x 1kg Dry powder in main corridors
Two total mains knock off switches apart from mains box switch one in master bedroom.

Got two smoke alarms fitted by the firebrigade. Randomly knocked on the door one day and were fitting them in the area. Probably have cameras/listening devices fitted inside. Feel sorry to who ever listens to my snoring and watches me walk naked.
