Any of the Diamond brand Dual band antennas can be relied upon to be off good quality. Beware that these are very carefully tuned to the Ham bands only and that transmitting with them out of band could be a problem. Retain the original antenna for out of band transmission as it should have a better match overall.

Theres a Thai vendor of antennas on e-bay who is also selling telescopic PMR446 tuned antennas. I have found these to match and work extremely well on the 446Mhz frequencies.

So for just under £120 you can have the best of both worlds. No point pissing around with hand held whatevers that need 7 feet of arial stuck on the top to work. Buy this, and you're sorted.

Yep,
The UV5rs can be had from £30.00
The antenna supplied with the radio is adequate and is tuned for the entire transmit capability of the radio, so just using this is the safest way to go.

For £120 you could have 4 rigs!
The TTI is sound too ( CB frequencies) you need to add a power supply (AKA car or car battery) and its good to go. Is the antenna is pre-tuned?
