Stuff for free
Being tight I am allways looking for stuff for free this weekend whilst, out for a walk along the canal near me proved benificial, newly cut logs, a pair of decent gloves my size probably dropped by some one, building materials apparently abandoned , accessable fuel storage plastic sheeting, pidgeons ducks in the canal and a guy fishing who had caught fish and numerous containers, whilst out foraging an old sack/mail bag is handy

Girlfriend often doesnt let me take stuff from the side of the road. I wanted that shoe rack!

My list of things Ive scavenged as it were (found on the floor)
Rayban prescription glasses
Numerous beanie hats (that I washed and kept)
Long wool coat
Enough carpet to do my hallway and downstairs bedroom.
various garden display plant stands (currently in use as a shoe rack)
a Nice coffee table
Burger king uniform for a guy called "Donatellus"
Some large (broken) pathing slabs.

Well as I see it, all you need are the shoes to go with the uniform and rack...Smile

Best quote I've seen for a while. Laughed so loud!!! Glad I'm working nights and nobody to laugh at me for almost wetting myself.

RE: Stuff for free
I can back up the freecycle recommendations.

I've had loads of stuff from there. Even got given a car once, a little vw polo. No tax or mot but a little bit work (needed both front wishbones done to mechanically minded people) & it was on the road. The guy even gave me the parts to do the repair. I used it for 3 years before it got to the 'beyond repair' stage.

My mrs hates taking me anywhere though because if I spot something, I take it (providing there is no obvious owner of course).
