The thing is that all your information is already available to the authorities, so I am trying to work out what disadvantage there is to carrying an ID card.

Ok we don't carry them now,..we carry bank cards, driving licenses, library cards, Bingo cards, address books,..all these things have your personal information on,.. many of them have your photo on too.

I am a poor Postie,..I have to wear an ID with my photo on it,.. many jobs do....

If for some reason you are stopped and are not carrying anything, its a simply radio call by PC plod, and he has every detail about you within a few moments

You give your ID details when doing almost everything,... buying a house, a car, ... thousands of things

,.....how many certificates do you have .. Birth, Christening marriage, Medical

.... so what disadvantage is it if we have to carry an ID card?????????...I would like to be persuaded
