Amazing!

I have one of the Life straws in each of my vehicles. You have to be very carefull due to counterfitting of these units using inferior filters. Make sure you are getting the real Lifestraw.

They became so much in demand that they are much copied devices. Most of the ones on the commercial market are counterfit and do not filter to the recommended or advertised level.

The company held them off the market for years since they were intended as humanitarian aid and not recreational supplies. If you make a donation for distrubition in 3rd world countries the units are around $3 each. In the recreational world they go for $25-$35 each.

Seems to me that if they really wanted to clean up the 3rd world water they would sell them for $25 each, ship one to a bushcrafter and 7 more to the 3rd world with the profit margin.

Sometimes do-gooders never consider the obvious.
