Effective range
What is the effective accurate range that an amateur can expect to get with each of a slingshot and longbow and a crossbow?

I'm looking for the range where someone with a little training can accurately place the ball-bearing/arrow/bolt within a 10cm circle.

In the Slingshot channel Jörg Sprave builds some pretty impressive weapons but he seems to shoot at targets that are only 5 or 10 meters away.

I'm *not* interested in what an Olympic athlete can achieve with a £10000 weapon. I'm interested in what most people can achieve with limited opportunity to practice with an affordable weapon.

RE: Effective range
Sling Shot 10 meters ish with regular practise
Longbow ???? A wooden one takes years to master, a 3 piece recurve can be mastered in 6 weeks if you do the intro course properly and your usuable range for an amatuer is roughly 40 meters , maybe more with practise.A compound can do 60 meters after practise.
Crossbow a novice can and should be able to hit the centre of mass of an adult man sized target at 100 meters within an hour or so of training.
Air rifle Pneumatic 30 to 40 meters fairly quickly.

Approximately of course.
