Yes, it's very nice. I've only eaten the breast meat, but it was very good.

I think I must have when I w younger as my dad would often bring them back after hunting (along with rabbits etc) but sadly I cant remember the taste.

Personally, I would say a sort of cross between chicken and pheasant; certainly more "gamey" than chicken. It's really very good.

Shot loads of those years ago, mary describes the taste bang on ! but just use the breast meat, unless you use in a soup.....most of the meat is breast anyway.....aim in front ,or you will be spitting shot for a week, even better use a .177 to take em as sitters

have eaten plenty of pheasant, rabbit too, mostly "roadkill"..well why let all that meat go to waste??Big Grin
