sustrans route map - easy and online
Ive just stumbled over this one, been searching for something like it for ages, its like googlemaps, but for cycles.

great for finding out where the nearest cycle path is, to any point.
http://traintimes.org.uk/ and another useful link i just found, for when you need to work out what the best train to take a bike on, as a shortcut.
