What do you knowabout tyranny / the police state in the UK?

The New Statesman mag very often has articles about the erosion of civil liberties and rights in the UK, as to the civil rights lobby group LIBERTY. often you see British articles on the ATS ( Above Top Secret) web site are forums.

I try to keep a particulr close eye of the Labour party as it keeps trying to introduce laws under the BS of fighting terrorism such as their proposal for arresting people and holding them in prison without charge or legal representation for 90 days without going to court. Other of its ministers wanted to make it a criminal offence for objecting to mass immigration or multi culturalism. Then you see their underhand tactics like stopping people fostering because they are members of UKIP !!!. The EU recently tabled a proposal to make it an offence to criticise or complain about the EU itself.

I used to get very alarmed about proposals over the recording and monitoring of all telecommnications such as e mails, Texts etc as i thought that a threat to preppers, but now I'm starting to operate more and more away from forums and doing more face to face I'm not so worried as I was.
