I get where you're coming from Sunna. I asked a similar question a little while ago.

One thing I am always curious about, some people will "never" resocialise, after a total collapse. Yet, those same people (most of them anyway) are holding barter items. If you're never going to interact with other people, who are you going to barter with? haha.

I think fights will be much shorter lived, and people will be sizing up their opponent a lot more, before anything happens. This is when you need to know more about psychology and group-think. But it's these interactions that will eventually lead to a level of stability, post SHTF.
