You may be right but i'm not so sure. In the very remote places such as where Highlander lives it may be the case but in places like Devon and Cornwall it could be very different

I was born down there and lived there for many years. I still have lots of family down there so go back frequently. Depending on the time of year there are millions of extra people holidaying in Devon and Cornwall, if tshtf then most of these people would be streaming through the countryside trying to get home.

The main roads down there are gridlocked half the time during the summer now, It would be 10 times worse in a shtf scenario so they would be all trying to avoid the gridlocked main roads and taking routes down the country lanes. I doubt anywhere in Devon would be immune from "visitors" and you cant shoot them all.

Devon is a big county but Dartmoor to the south will channel the vast majority of those travelling into the north of the county, the coast road along the top from Cornwall will be just as gridlocked as the A30 so that will force people down into the countryside

I'm not saying you are wrong, it's just that I used to give the subject a lot of thought when I lived down there and in the end the best I could come up with was that if tshtf I just hoped it wouldn't do it in the summer

yes a lot of people holiday here but they mostly stick to the coasts, I live right in the middle of devon out in the countryside, once you get away from the coasts and the urban sprawl the population drops dramatically, if I had to I could bug out and disappear completely, I expect you wont believe that but that also is a point in my favour.in any case if TSHTF happened in summer wouldn't the tourists all immediately head home??

in any case who said I use the MAIN roads? I've said enough times I use back country roads.
