snares in uk-laws etc
hi all.i just wondered what the laws etc were for using snares in the uk.id like to practise with so i know how to use them if i had to.i know somewhere where there loads of rabbits and id like to have a go.

It'd be better if you could ask the landowner for permission for legal reasons (tresspass if you live in england or wales for instance)

but as an excersise it may be more realistic NOT to ask, lol!

it just occured to me that i might catch someones cat!
I would never forgive myself if i did so im not going to lay any snares unless i really am in that survival position.

I suggest that you learn what an animal run looks like, in particular a rabbit run,.. once you have learnt to identify the run you should be ok, cats will not use rabbit runs,... or more to the point rabbits will not travel where cats go

Having said that I am not a city boy, so maybe the cat has a different mind set in built up areas
A major part of survival is invisibility.

i just thought; ill still be able to practise catching fish using a similar technique.
