RE: Economy & Weather Change.
i agree with the points on inflation and the fragile state of the economy are much worse than gets reported. Mostly this is due to government misinformation. This is not tin foil hat stuff at least here in the US.

Inflation numbers are misleading because they no longer include fuel and most food items. So they leave out things that most everyone has to purchase on a weekly basis. Attempting to hide the increases, producers have reduced the amount of product while charging the same price. For example a bag of charcoal used to weigh 18 pounds, now its 16 pounds at the same price. That is more than a 10% increase in price that most people would not notice. Officialy US inflation running about 2%, but if other items were included, it would be closer to 10%.

Unemployment under-reported by simply not counting people anymore. For example, if you collect benefits but havent found work when the benefits run out, then they consider you have given up and no longer count you as unemployed. If govt counted unemployed today the way they used to, the unemployment rate may well be over 15%, versus the 7% they report.

I hope the UK authorities are more honest. I dont trust the US govt's information. It's not that they are lying per se, it's more that the information gets twisted to reflect what they desire.
