If this is an offer to be able to turn the forum into a place of mutual respect, appreciate, and learning, then that is an offer well received, well awaited, and well accepted.

It'll be good to have a forum where people feel free to speak their opinions, and not be shot down by those wishing to maintain the status quo. Those status quo holders would still be welcome, and their input appreciated. However, their know-it-all-already attitude, and their unreceptive to new ideas and perspectives side would not be so warmly welcomed.

As a forum, we are but the amalgamation of the members. When member numbers drop, the forum (by definition) is weakened. However, when members of a forum slam other members, especially new members, ideas...that's when the forum becomes more than weak, it becomes toxic.

Having a negative attitude towards other members is not always conductive to a good forum. I am as guilty of this as anyone else, because of my dislike for NR. Even with that, I did give him credit when it is due, the same as him with me. We mutually hate each other, and I know I've managed to have a joke and a laugh about it, but still don't make it too personal (name calling and the alike is just not me) to cause a major issue. However, I think that even my own behaviour is not helpful in this kind of circumstance. But, having a negative attitude towards a whole section/division/category of people on the forum is even less helpful.

Therefore, if the 'other' or 'alternate' group is actually a group of mutual learning...I'm in on that and really looking forward to learning, growing, and developing my preps even more.
