Cleaning IBCs - Sovermol 805
I've just been given two IBCs. One has been used for Castor Oil and just needs a good flush. The other was used for Sovermol 805 from BASF which seems to be a oil based polymer. It looks like it could be cleaned out, certainly enough for non food storage, as it isn't toxic, or hazardous in any way. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to clean this out so it could be used for foodstuffs. The reason being is I can get quite a few of them, about 12, and I wanted to use them in an aquaponics experiment.

The information I gleaned from the web talks about transport, handling and disposal of the contents but nothing talks about reuse of the IBCs.

When I take a tanker to be washed out they normally use hot water and paraffin on most products. Find a tankwash near u and pop in and ask them.hope this helps
