SHOP ABOUT
Here is a great example of why we must shop around for kit
At the website below the Frontier stove is on sale for £149, on Amazon which is supposed to be cheap there are companies selling the same stove for £250.

And on this same web site below a travel stove they advertise for £375 is being sold at Amazon for £585.

RE: SHOP ABOUT
Also, with Amazon, the prices often go up and down, so if you create an Amazon Wish list and then add the items you are interested to the Wish List, you can see how the price changes.

It doesn't tell you if the price increases, but if the price goes down, it shows it on your Wish List and say's something like this product is now 20% cheaper than when you added it to your wish list.

So if you're not in hurry, you can keep a watch on items and often get a bargain.

RE: SHOP ABOUT
This looks to be a great bit of kit.

To try to understand how much heat this could put out, I've just measured the firebox on our range, which to my surprise is almost identical size!

Ours is able to handle all cooking and water heating duties, as well as heating our 120 sq metre living space.

As an emergency fallback piece of kit, it looks ideal.

Has anyone here got actual experience of using one in a house?

BTW I found one for £140 here: http://www.militarymart.co.uk/index.php?...ct_id=1886
