Sounds very stodgy to me. Is that going to cause you any issues changing to a diet like that. I see it as food but would certainly like, and have arranged, a more varied diet for my hunkering down.

Plus you say hunker down for up to six months. Are you intending to leave after six months or during so you complete the journey at six months. Is that to feed you on your travels as well?

What I did and recommend is that you simply buy more of what you use at every shopping trip, excluding perishables, until you have enough for your needs then simply replace what you use every week/month/shopping trip.

One advantage that you have over there is few people sell anything bulk over here. Getting discounts on bulk buys isn't easy.
