Are we really a free nation

RE: Are we really a free nation
In 1984 (the book, not the year) Orwell spoke of everything that is pretty much happening.

The next thing that will happen, people will be enslaved by the government.

Oddly enough, does anyone remember that article about those on the dole needing to work for free to recieve their dole money? That sounds like slavery to me.

Today, the year is 1984 and Big Brother is watching YOU.

Hah !!! Ferkin Labour think Orwells 1984 is a " How to" run a country book.

I would scrap all welfare payments except pensions for the elderly (providing they actually did work for a living) and the disabled, the rest I would scrap, that way I could could cut income tax and NI combined to less than 10% and drop VAT to 5% that and slashing fuel duty would free up billions back into the hands of the workers which would instantly revitalise the ecomnomy and create bolat loads of work.

When a person goes out to work be it a cleaner or neuro surgeon their pay should be in their pay packets and not redirected to benefit claimants.

It's all coming to an end. They are running out of money. It is as simple as that.

Apparently some lefties think they know entirely what is best for us and so they should take over 50% of everyones pay and they would provide all the services we need !!!

I'm in the office again today and I burst out laughing at that comment. My boss gave me a right look. NR, you're getting me into trouble.
