London More Dangerous Than NYC?

RE: London More Dangerous Than NYC?
In NYC the very rich and politically "well connected" can get gun permits, but it is impossible for the ordinary working bloke.

I am told it's now the same way in Washington, DC although that was not the case back when I worked there. Even law enforcement personnel from surrounding jurisdictions and active duty military were not permitted to carry unless it was for "official business." I was lucky that most of the time I was required to be there for work, I could arrange to be escorted by somebody authorized to have a badge and a gun...

Now that I have retired out in the sticks, people are polite and the crime rate is low because everybody carries.

It's not the wild west by any means. I expect where MB is the situation is similar.
