If you would believe your 97% of scientists, the only hope for saving the earth is global nuclear war to reduce the excess population, starting with the non-producing and over-popuylated areas of Africa and Asia.

Regardness of how well the EU and Canada do in reducing their carbon footprint, and even if the US would elect a Democrat and impose stringent measures, the combined effects would not be enough to offset the greenhouse gases produced by China, India and Russia.

About 200 megatons dispersed over 1000 warheads in key cities, followed by two years of nuclear winter should reduce world population by about 3 billion, bringing population numbers down to 1980 levels which should be more sustainable.
