Radiation counters
Hello anyone know anything about geiger counters? A good all round one for about £100 cheers
just read alas Babylon ,so im going to get more salt!!!!

Yes I have one Barney and Joe has the same model , it’s a Russian make and under a £100 bought mine off the net , I will dig it out of the faraday cage and get the name and model number for you .

Barney , the make is RADEX model is RD 1503 QUARTA is the trade mark , there you go pal ! ….easy to use ! .

I suspect you are concerned with the Ukrainian situation. This site might be of use.
I use the Radex 1503 as well, it does the job and is a relatively cheap unit for what it can do.
If we’re checking for fallout then it’s best to check after rainfall, place a sheet or towel outside the window and once it rains hold the counter about an inch away.
