No, not animals. Anyone consider when surviving that supplements (at the crudest level a multivitamin) as a means of 'topping up'?
PS this forum should really be called Nutrition.

Yes. Initially food will be scarce and we will need supplements to keep us fitter than the average bear. All life will be consumed and until the bulk of the people are gone we will be unable to grow our own. We need tins and supplements to see us past this period.
I though there were some in the lists?

Totally aware that food should provide nutrients but growing your own will; be difficult and some expertise needed esp. savinbg seeds. Also there will be theft. I don't know of any lists. Where are these?

any seed needs to be either home grown or from a supplier of heirloom/heritage seeds and stored in cool dry conditions.
people will also need gardening tools, trying to grow food post collapse without the right equipment, seeds and knowledge will not be possible and many people will fail.

Just bought 60 ..a to z multi vitamins and minerals from aldi £2.
Gives a 2.5yr shelf life came in a foil sealed plastic bottle a general google check tell us it's safe to take them out of date but the older they are the less effective they will be.
Most vitamin deficiencys take a few years to really kick in so mabe 1 tablet every few days could see you through ,except vit c needed every day and if possible several times a day.
