if you leave a note, they'll know where to find you!

"Thanks for all the stuff Mr Morrisons, Lots of Love Scythe13"

(best of all, 13 is not even the number of the house where I live. It's fool-proof)
i wouldnt waste my time leaving a note, just skedadle pronto!!
I'll try that later today.

Dear Nat West, Thanks for the cash. SD

Do I need to date it to make it legal?

We step over a moral line when we take anything at all. You have no idea if the person needs it and is away or they are dead. We have decided we are going to do it. Let's just be up front about it. In my view though if someone is there and needs it then I will need to consider my desperation. Can we partner up, can we, my family, life without it. That will be the true test of morals.

I feel this is the utilitarian suffering argument. If killing one person could save 100 lives, would that make the one account of murder right, or would it still be wrong?

I think you're right though. It does come down to the level of desperation. If I had kids, I would be in a completely different mindset to how I currently am. I am envious of those with kids, the joy they bring. I asked a friend when was the last time he did something truly exciting. He came back to me the next day and said when he saw his children open their presents on Christmas Day. In that moment I realised that my shark diving, snow boarding, rock climbing, skiing, skateboarding, mma, and all the rest, were completely different. What he has more more than a rush. So I can only assume the kind of ferver a man protecting his children would have.

A friend used to say there is no human alive more dangerous than a parent protecting their child. I know that is untrue, a man with a gun is going to be a lot scarier than a woman with a handbag. But it would take more damage to stop the woman that it would to stop the man, in all likelyhood. It is that motivation of protection that would make me reconsider looting a family with children.

Can any parents on here give kind of idea what they would do to protect and feed their children?
Scythe,

You can argue anything with logic. Morals are morals because they make you make a choice, not a logical argument that you use as an excuse. Don't get me wrong, that will be my defence as well. Smile

Kids are great when properly trained. But they do interfer in your fun time, scuba diving, camping etc. My own view is if you want them have them early enough to enjoy them. Don't wait until you have everything you need because you never get ther. In the meantime you pay for feral scum to keep their kids.

Premeture posting. I'm sure there is a name.

I would do anything to protect my kids. No option is off the table.

Me too, for my wife and child I would do ANYTHING to protect them and ensure their safe continuity.

My mum, who is the kindest, gentlist person on the planet, said something to me that sent shivers down my spine.

We (the family) were having a chat about morals, ethics, and philosophy. The subject got on to killing another human being. Mum said about a chat with a friend of hers that said she would never kill someone. My mum told me she said to the woman "I assume you don't have children." The woman reported she did have children, and mum said "If someone was attacking your child-" and apparently the woman interupted and said "You're right. Any parent would kill to protect their child."

That thought gave me shivers, not just of the potential danger of a protective parent, but also the overwhelming love my mother has for me and my sister.

when you have kids they make you feel like a lion
nothing beats a cuddle of them or to hear their voice speak to you asking question no matter how stupied that question is to watch their face when they tell you about their day
to see them achive their goals and want's and to look at their face when sound a sleep in bed
a holiday or free time means nothing to the rewards day after day you get from your kids
you would proctect them with every last breath in your body and things you wouldn't do in your mind to another person go out the window if that person is willing to hurt you kid
execpt the twist f**ks who harm their own children and other peoples kids
them kind of s**ts should be put thought the pains of hell and i would do that for free
Til not only a fool who tries to harm any of NRs children of the children of other preppers, but it is also someone definately about to meet their maker.
Morals are only useful within a mutually reliant group and anyone I identify as a "Raider" will be a potential threat to my family when Im not there to protect them and will be dealt with accordingly... As will his/her supplies.... Which shall become my/our supplies...
