RE: OK folks analyse this mess
this happens every year when they have the Glastonbury pop festival, the WHOLE of Somerset grinds to a halt and is gridlocked, all the supermarkets on the route are hit and the shelves are stripped of food, people get out of their cars and piss in peoples front gardens(or worse), the whole of Pilton village( the festival site) is fenced off and barricaded to funnel the festival goers onto the site, and then the whole thing happens in reverse when they let them all out again when it finishes.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

Now just imagine say a burst of sudden really bad weather, or a shortage of petrol, or an outbreak of dysentry and poof Somerset is a necropolis.

Paul is it true that after the festival most of the tents are just left behind to be binned?
All them free crossbow bolts or arrows.

yes, originally they were to be given to charity for 3rd world countries, but they got so wet and muddy that they were,as you say, binned, the ground is in such a mess afterwards that you cant keep stock on it, it has to be ploughed and reseeded every year and it just about gets back to normal in time for the next festival then it starts all over again, Michael Eavis keeps all his cattle inside!

well, i suppose Michael Eavis is ultimately in charge or his daughter, but i expect its mostly down to who is a steward on site-you know, the ones who actually do the work not the ones swanning around talking to the TV reporters!
