The cheap knock off para cord from the pound shop has its uses, looks like paracord but its got a weird woven nylon center that you can unravel and pull out, useful for sewing thread and such.
That still leaves the woven nylon outer tube for whatever you need.
I wouldnt like to guarantee its as strong as para cord but I can dangle off it at 220 lbs so....
I tried to be normal once.... Worst two minutes of my life...
