So the deal is on the table ukraine says yes and Russia says yes but with conditions.
Trumpy has his work cut out for him on this one .

I believe their will be a ceasefire but only on the winning sides terms.

One thing for sure trump has made a splash on the world stage.

RE: Can Europe survive on its own.
It's called negotiating. Russia isn't stupid. They pause, this give the Ukraine time to rearm, move troops in and solidify funding. Russia is winning so why should it pause without getting something in return?

Let's see what the EU does, it is great at talking a good fight but asking for 500K troops and getting 500K troops in a position to fight is something else, plus there are funding issues. EU rules that Germany used to make the Greek economy collapse are now inconvenient for the Germans so they are now willing to be a bit more flexible.

Seems to me that the only real force in Europe now is the Poles. Remind me, were they not the ones that resisted unfettered immigration. LOL.

The best that could happen is for the US to say that they will not provide any more funds to the Ukraine and also say that if any NATO country starts anything with Russia they are on their own and the US will not get involved. Article 5 clearly states that if a NATO country is attacked not that there is unconditional support. That would bring the war to a close and save lives on both sides.
