how easy would it be to "introduce" rabbits to an new area? as a food prep in advance?

That's how the Rabbit came to be in England in the first place, Binnie. It was first brought over with the Romans and semi farmed in large enclosures. Then the Normans brought the European Rabbit over and did the same, all the Rabbits now in the UK are descended from those Norman Rabbits that escaped from the enclosures (warrens).

The majority of pet male rabbits that escape their 'homes' in the UK end up dead pretty quickly. Not because they cannot adapt, but because the other wild rabbits see them as a territory threat and kill them. If there were very few other rabbits around, that's when it would be easier to introduce male rabbits into the area.

Female rabbits, on the other hand...very different. They will become baby factories!

It's an interesting idea, brilliant even , but I will say this don't get caught doing it cos the landowner wont be thanking you

there was a "wild" rabbit that inhabited an allotment in Glastonbury, this thing was HUGE, I reckon it was an escapee one of those giant sized domestic breeds, I am talking enormous!
