hello is there any thing you can use for crossbow string oil I,E veg oil meat fat or the like will it brake the string cheers
just read alas Babylon ,so im going to get more salt!!!!

Just use ordinary string wax which is available from most archery suppliers, actually I think you can also make your own very easily out of something like bees wax etc, try googling making archery string wax.

I tried oil when I got mine at first. The string is so tight that it can't permeat and the oil just went everywhere. On a bow I would hate for it to slip while you are pulling it back and not properly aimed.

Try beeswax. Rub it in, like leatherworkers do to their threads. It only takes a little bit.
