Bored with all the crap tv repeats, so I put up 2 shelves, have wanted to do it for some time.

Spent most of today re'grinding all my chisels and planing irons....in fact anything that needs a razor edge was done , all cleaned up , all that remains is a good old stopping on leather, then oil up .

Only my knifes to do and some axes .

Thanks for the reminder SS, I need to do the same. It will fill an afternoon and is always best as I find blunt tools often cause more accidents, anyway a cut with a sharp blade heals quicker.

Catching up on some old threads, I found one “GOLD...rush” by SS.

I was talking to a jeweller 2weeks ago, he said the value of gold does not alter, what alters is the price due to currency fluctuating.

I know some say you can’t eat gold buy food, but a small amount can be a hedge against inflation, and if you are any trouble in the future you might be able to bribe yourself out of the brown stuff.

The reason Gold (does not alter) ....is the total manipulation of paper Gold markets and contracts therein (Physical Gold) is held DOWN by paper ...price discovery of Physical (like fuck) is determined via a paper illusion ! But Physical Gold (buy coins) is a STORE of YOUR wealth.....and has been for thousands of years , if you can't hold it in your hands its not yours!!.....how safe is your (money) in the banking system? look at the terms and conditions where ever you bank WE that means ALL of US are unsecured creditors.....we GIVE them our money and they play fractional roulette in the casino of shattered dreams and deception and if by some misfortune they (bankers) get it wrong ....no problem us dull bastards bail them out!.....except THIS time They will do a bail IN (Bail in documents are in place here in the UK and passed for full implementation 1st January 2017 ) or direct debit as i like to call it ....they have the wright and power to take what they deem fit ....directly from YOUR accounts...all of them....right now all banks and building societies have controls on amounts.....not what you put in BUT what you want to TAKE OUT ! " we will have to order that amount of cash" why do you want this cash ....hold on you say ....its my money ...i will spend it where ever i like and when i like ...mind your own bis ! you never asked or questioned me when i deposited it into your bank ...as i recall ? "we have to ask sir ...money laundering you see....what about LIBOR then ? what about PPI then ? silence (a standard technique used by smarmy twats ) Rant over !...everyone should play it as they see it ! ....it really does come down to YOU and what you think is best for YOU .

As you say SS if you can’t hold it your hands it’s not yours. We trust banks to keep our money safe, they use it to play their games and get rich, and give us a pittance, it’s us who pay for any cockups,us who take the risks. It’s up to us how we keep our hard earned savings, but if you do buy gold don’t buy from one supplier, use cash and don’t give your real name, if TPTB can find it they can take it.
