What I found most interesting about this couple is that they say three other couples they know from the south east have recently seen the writing on the wall and put as much distance as they can between the home counties and themselves. two moved to the west country, and another to central Wales.

Also they dont consider themselves as preppers in the way we distinguish ourselves, they simply say they moved for a more safe, secure and sustainable lifestyle in an environment that is a thousand percent safer and less turbulent than inside the PC diverse, inclusive multi cultural socialist paradise of the home counties. That and the fact that the 4 bed ex foresters house they bought cost the same as a one bed flat in London !!!.

Barney you are welcome to the NHS, the only bit I want changed is people having the right to opt out of paying for it and being allowed to spend their money on private services, if we dont use it why should we pay for it?

I am quite glad that A&E is there, should i ever need it, thankfully the last time was 17 years ago but what i detest is people having IVF on the national health....either go private or adopt! also why are druggies, alcoholics and the week end piss heads treated for free on the NHS? they should be charged for everything including the ambulance that took them to the hospital!

I've been saving for a while now for a van and a decent deposit for a house. Also trying to arrange a transfer at work to somewhere further north. Hopefully within a year ill be in a position to do it

Haven't picked anywhere solid yet, somewhere within an hour or 2 of Manchester because of work. I would also be travelling every weekend back to reading to see the little'un.

Although the old man fancies a cottage in the middle of Wales that he's had his eye on for a while. Lots of land and no neighbours as far as you can see. So I'm torn at the moment.
