I'll give you all a word of advice. Never run for election. I was going to stand as an independent in my area & suddenly a few things from my younger days (which I had forgotten about) got mentioned in a private meeting with another (main party) candidate, along with the words "if you stand, you will read about it in the papers. along with everyone else".

If you have skeletons in your closet, no matter how old they are, they will find them.

They don't care about local issues or local people who want to take a stand for the good of the local area. They want to line their own pockets & that's all.
