I just read his book too. I must admit I thought he was a bit of a dick before but after reading the book I have changed my mind, he's one tough bloke. Climbing everest a couple of years after breaking his back in a parachute jump which he fooked up took some balls, and reading the account of his everest climb was worth the money in itself, you wouldnt get me anywhere near the place. That stuff wasnt done for a tv show either, it was well before that - in his early 20's i think - just because he wanted the challenge.

Well worth a read if you get the chance, not much survival stuff in it but it does make for interesting reading

Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.
