The high street round the corner is known affectionately to locals as "the mutant mile" - more green man than grey!

"green man" means something different to us! i know what you mean though, brother in law lives 1 block back from Gosport high street, i think its full of curry houses and matalot knocking shops!
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

Yeah, quite difficult. Can't go through an agency.
Spoke to LOADS who said "Yeah, no problems with a dog" then you tell them he's a Rottweilier, and they suddenly change their minds...

Aye, lots of green men knocking around too thankfully

when we lived in Glastonbury NO landlord would rent to anyone on JSA, also NO pets or children either! just glad we are in Housing Association property even if it is small.

i was lucky living in a city, getting a 1 bed council flat in the suburbs, mind you this was 1991, i have been in "social" housing ever since, not giving it up in a hurry like some, if i applied for a "council" place now i wouldnt get it cos, like you say, i havent got loads of kids!!

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. He was kicked out, made homeless. Went to the housing office, was told that he wasn't a priority. He kicked off and the "adviser" told him that he wasn't a priority as he wasn't new to the country, could speak the lingo and knew people here! He asked why he bothered paying taxes for the last 15 years, then he was escorted from the property.
That's what happens when you vote labour
