Armex Tomcat MKII 80lb crossbow pistol review

WELL ITS ON!-i think! had to put it in my vice-i've got one with 2 bars on the bottom not a solid one and managed to bend it enough to get the string on, still one hell of a tussle but i think its ok, wouldnt want to do it "out in the field" though, OH is at the dentists so i could do it without getting earache!! cant use it yet though, i've got to make a solid backstop for it, i believe a cushion or a pillow in a taped up box is favourite?

nice one BP ,the best way to get it wright is to take it off again and put it on again

PS BP don't bother buying any rail lube for it as it is overpriced bollocks, just use a little bit of vaseline on the rail. I would put some in the cocking slots on the sides where the cocking arms run as well.

thanks, we've got a bloody great jar of that somewhere. i cant use it yet until i've got some kind of backstop, if i fire it at our back fence it'll probably go straight through into next doors garden!!

or BP has the hump but now hes armed and you armed him also vaseline will that not mess up the string make it weaker in some way ,if not bloody nice one because that rail oil is pricey

I have used vaseline for ages on rails etc and I have never had any problems at all, I even lube the string serving a little with it but not too much. No doubt there will be some reason not to use it, but I bet that is to get you to buy the string lube (suspicious sod I am)
