dispelling Myths about medieval Combat
For anyone interested in Historical European Martial arts there are a lot of pre conceived ideas and myths that have grown up around the use and effectiveness of such fighting systems. The link below will take you to Arma, a group dedicated to studying these fighting systems using primary sources as guidance. The site also has a library of Primary sources to read and study from a diverse European background. There are more resources online for serious study and I can send links to them if needed.

RE: dispelling Myths about medieval Combat
very interesting from a history point of view, but I don't think many people will be armed with swords and lances and the like post shtf?? a decent firearm, crossbow and bow and arrow, in fact anything that fires a projectile of some form or another will take out any swordsman long before they get anywhere near.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

I know BP and I agree, just from a "swordie" point of view for those interested in using their swords with a degree of accuracy.
I don't see you as a sword type guy mate, more of a battle Axe weilder

RE: dispelling Myths about medieval Combat
Vikings might of "had the Horn" so to speak but they certainly did not have them on their Helmets, which is a pity really coz they look ace
