Prison is almost a badge of honor for some criminals, partly because it isnt hard enough inside,... there are many jobs in this world that if prisoners were made to do them they wouldn't come back,... working down the sewers for instance, or work them on the roads ditching where everyone can see them,.. half the time they dont mind the punishment if they are out of public view, this is why you see so many hiding their faces, let the world see them, let people see them being punished and laugh at them,.... its that kind of thing many criminals hate

getting them to work gain new skills is a good idea , many con come from the bottom of life s pile many never working from leaving school reading poor ect their only option is min wage jobs dead end jobs, if trained to do a job with a half decent wage packet at the end of the week . as the tories say make work pay

most of them wouldn't work even if they could, they'd say that's a mugs game, stay in bed all day go out at night and rob someone that's their kind of "work", most of them don't deserve to be on this earth, removal would clean out the gene pool.

BP, The problem with a solution like a bullet in the head is nobody will want to leave witnesses, young and old alike will be terminated in an attent to cover your tracks and when cornered why would you surrender. You will want to fight to the very last and take as many as you can with you.
The cost for such a policy may be high and that doesn't cover the resentment when you terminate someones child or relative for a trivial crime. They will bide their time and revenge is a dish best served cold (Ancient Klingon Proverb)

In a PA society I dont think we will be able to afford the luxury of prisons or banishment, if we lock em up we have to feed em and watch them, if we banish them they could come back and raid or loot our society I would suggest the death penalty for all major offences

Robbery
Arson
Child Abuse
Espousing socialism
Trying to start a trade union etc
SD Kill em all let god sort em out.

Prison doesn't work in a lot of cases.....especially when they get tagged and released early...jump the que for a council/rented acc, no one wants to employ them in a lot of cases .....good excuse to do nowt....no real prospects =boredom= back to their old /easy money ways ....crime .....get caught.....break parole...back inside....repeat etc...
