some will want to relax their way out of dealing with life before there is stability.

RE: TEMPTATION
probably a good way to get killed?(when their guard is down)!
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

The days to go are getting few,
dont drop your guard, they could still get you.

RE: TEMPTATION
it wouldn't surprise me if the police added something nasty to the drugs the capture in case they got stolen.

I would leave the drugs alone but I would take bottles of spirits. You can use them to sanitise a wound or surface, and you can make herbal extracts with vodka. I'm not a huge drinker but a few bottles of single malt might find they're way into my trolley for a small tipple at big events. I wouldn't bother with anything weaker like beer or cider though.
Do not rush to meet Death, he may not wish to see you.

a few bottles might be useful for wounds and herbal tinctures and the like, but not for "internal use", be "alert as lerts don't get caught with their guard down" to paraphrase someone old motto.

Please Sunna, read my post before you comment. That's certainly NOT what I said. You either misquoted me intentionally or inadvertently, and you owe me an apology either way.

People who get "passing out" drunk or overloaded on drugs post SHTF will be nothing but targets. Used shoes and clothing will be a valuable commodity and the drunk or druggie passed out in the park or in the alley will be lucky to wake up with anything left but his/her skin to wear (if they are lucky enough to wake up at all).

It may be safe to have a drink "at home" provided you're not on the "duty roster" for the midnight shift watch, but I sure don't want to enter any survival situation mentally impaired in any way. Other lives may depend on me.
If at first you don't secede, try, try again!

not the best way to survive a shtf event Jonas, either with a hangover or strung out, neither would I want to rely on someone else in this condition.

TBH, some people end up like that on Saturday nights in many provincial British towns. And that's BEFORE TSHTF!
Find a resilient place and way to live, then sit back and watch a momentous period in history unfold.
