All that on 200 pounds?

Average consumption is 300 pounds per person per year factoring in all grain uses.

SHTF you only have 4 months supply for 2 people.

Mortblanc is absolutely correct. Store at least 300 bls of grain per person. In a Survival situation you will have stress to contend with and you will have to eat more food for the extra workload that you will have. Think carefully about it, there will be many extra chores. Kenneth Eames.

Yes MB & Ken you are right it is recommended 300 lb per person but the moment storage for 900 lb of extra wheat will be a problem need to rearrange things to fit 1/2 that amount.

Spoke to the farmer and told him that a couple of other people would like a few bags as well. Now going for 200 Kilos = 440 lbs. Do the same next year as well soon get wheat saved up. £10 a 20 kilo bag.

RE: Chance encounter
Surely it comes down to how much grain items you eat and what other food you have in stores, you may need 300lbs if that's the only food you have, but 200lbs will be plenty if you vary your diet
A major part of survival is invisibility.
