RE: is this wrong ?¿
the only reason I would go into a house to obtain a gun would be if that house is abandoned, if its in use then no way am I even going near that property, the percentages are not in my favour and the chances of coming out again alive are probably nil.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

there is no way I am selling a gun to someone who could come back at a later stage when things get tougher and threaten me and mine with the gun I just sold them......no way,Jose!

Plan:

Break into a house and steal guns + ammo.

Pros:
You will leave the house guns and ammo

Cons:
Owner has guns (fact)
Owner probably has ammo for those guns
Owner practices with those guns regularly, and should thus be considered a skilled shooter
Owner will be protecting the family with...? Kitchen equipment......urm, I mean GUNS!!!

Plan A. A for attack:

Assault the house and steal the cabinet, then steal the ammo safe, break into both, and get away, totally silently and undetected; providing the guns are in the cabinet.

Plan B:

Make friends with the person prior to a SHTF situation, and then if something happens, you have an ally, both of you locked and loaded and ready to roll.

Plan C

If person isn't much fun prior to SHTF-----> AVOID THE HOUSE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Scythe13's 'professional' assessment of the situation:
I think I'd go with plan B, that should actually become plan A (your first plan of action).

I see a flaw there scythe as a shooter and weapon owner the safes are bolted the structure of the building and that would be the first thing I took if I had to BO

yeah, but there is a difference between now(the alleged "good times") and POST SHTF, NOW-it happens but it dosent affect me on a personal level but post shtf it could and I will do everything I can to avoid that, if that means NOT selling a gun so I am not put in that position then so be it...I would rather destroy the gun than have it fall into the hands of some t#sspot!!

And the people inside that property would probably spend a great deal more time ready to go with a crosshair on or near you and only go out when they are confident no one is watching.

If they were a prepared person / decent ex forces / situationally aware, they will have looked at where they can be observed from, then observe those places.

Just remember - they have a lot more time sitting in there base to look out at potential points of attack then you have to spend at any potential point of attack looking at them, unless you have enough people supplying you with enough things that you can maintain watch on the place 24/7. Post SHTF you would be too busy looking for bottles to carry water in and wondering if your hands are ever really going to be as clean as they used to be.

Myself I wouldn't intentional approach a home after the SHTF for the soul purpose to take someone's firearms from them. If the SHTF I would want to keep a low profile. I might watch the home for a few days to see if the person was still alive or not. But u could always just try be friending them. I have made friends with several people who own rifles (yes I know their safe combo shhhhhh! Don't tell them) and I have read several articles that the government would try confiscating firearms from licensed owners which would also come in handy as an early warning that something may be happening.
