Little boats are always popping across the channel. The issue is that these smugglers want to move hundreds at a time so need big boats which are automatically suspicious but wait until we are fully integrated into the EU. Then why do we need to patrol our borders? Watch them pour in then.

and they use the ropiest the most decrepit vessel that cheap money can buy, they don't care what happens to their "clients" once they get their hands on their money. look at what has just happened off Libya, most of the 450 on board a ship died when it sank.

They're now using massive inflateable dinghys, not remotely seaworthy and overloaded, but very cheap and can support a huge weight on flat seas.

None of this matters much, as they call the coast guard as soon as they've left shore.

I still get angry when I read about these "victims of people traffickers", of course I have sympathy with them as people on dangerous boats, but they've paid £1000 to be smuggled into Europe illegally.
