In the UK a wool outer layer doesn't make too much sense a lot of the time, as it is often raining, so the "natural textile" rules of the boreal forest do not apply I think.

...r However, if anyone has experience of wearing wool outer layers, like the shirts mentioned above, when out and about then I'd be interested in hearing your experiences and recommendations.

The close woven wool outer is perfect for dry cold and powder snow.
