No, I understand what you are saying BP and Agree!
But......
Mankind also has an uncanny knack of being able to reverse engineer things; bodge things; come up with completely new heath robinson solutions etc..... Also as I mentioned in an earlier post, I agree that we are highly unlikely to be able to manufacture 'new' solar panels or for that matter anything else with semi-conductors (at least for my lifetime), but that doesn't mean we will be powerless.....
