Maybe people are expanding searches for special interests, or looking for people with similar viewpoints or perhaps just folks from the same counties as they are.
Usually its the lower forms of life like Journalists, spammers and trolls but now it appears folks are indeed looking for multiple forum activity.
More power to their elbows I say.
Must ask though, how do you know people are jumping around unless you are also??
I read a few forums and blogs but only post on this forum, but still have friends on other forums who keep me appraised of any good subject matter or bright new members.

RE: Lots of forum jumping going on !
As 1 of the new members here I just thought I would offer my input.
I was a member of another preppers forum but didn't like what I saw (only joined there recently aswell).
Basically 1 person said they were prepping for nuclear war or disaster (Fukushima, Chernobyl type thing) & one of the forum admins basically told them that they should get real & prep "for something more realistic" & basically said if they didn't like the reply, go somewhere else.
Fair enough prepping for nuclear incident might be totally pointless (I don't know enough of the subject but would assume we would all be buggered), but surely it's up to each individual to prep for whatever his or her reason is. If a site admin can shoot another member down in flames & tell him to go somewhere else just because they didn't share the members opinion, I don't want to be part of that community.
After reading a lot of posts on here over the past few weeks, my impression is this is a more laid back type of forum where everyone respects everyone else's different opinions & try's to offer advice rather than ridicule anyone.
Just my opinion on it.

RE: Lots of forum jumping going on !
I would imagine lots of people are members of more than one prepping forum, it makes sense to keep an eye on other sites as something may be picked up on one site and not on another. These days though I only view one other british site and and only post on here as generally the same discussions take place across them all, though it must be said that the subject of eating people seems to crop up here more than anywhere else i've looked
Part of my reasons for joining other sites is that in some cases you cant see much or any of the forum unless you are a member. Thats one of the reasons i like here, you dont have to join to read the forum so you would hope that most of the members join up because they want to, not to just see what another site is doing
You have the right to hold any beliefs you want. You do not have the right to have those beliefs automatically respected

RE: Lots of forum jumping going on !
I do keep an eye on other forums but only post regularly on this one, i find this one is the ONLY one that has members who also think the way i do, i find ALL the other forum's too wishy washy and trendy!
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

I prefer this one have tried others and just found a lot of derision and sarcasm when I ask a question on here I get good common sense and you take the time to answer without the sarcasm

Oh dear god !!! I never thought that would happen on anyones forum !!!, thats truly appaling. I personally have time for anyone who is commited genuinelly to prepping regardless of percieved risk, so long as they are genuinelly doing what they can with whatever resources they can muster then god bless em.

As one of my friends likes to say " dont knock it till you have tried it "
I just like forums and blogs that treat everyone as equals, new to prepping or old dog, heavy poster or occasional poster, OTT prepper or vocational prepper, I dont like elitism or commercialism, I do admit to prefering those who are as round the twist about prepping as I am but I also understand many people struggle hard to fit prepping into an already very busy lifestyle.
I do find it very pleasing to see other preppers cross checking and verifying info from multiple news sources and prepper forums, that should a high degree of astutness among them.

I'm a member of 3 forums (here, UKP and P2S) but most weeks I don't have time to read all of them, never mind post on them. It is sometimes useful to be on more than 1, as they all focus on different things.
Though I agree that this one has the highest quality arguments
