this is good. i always thought it would be the Sheeple talking about bonking and contraception and babies, i really thought "Preppers" were above all that and would be concentrating on Survival and homesteading and growing stuff and rearing animals for food, and security and patrolling and OPSEC and..and..and..and....seems i was wrong, i think i'm on the wrong site.

Human nature, is human nature, sex will be an issue on many levels,..including rape,.. there will be those who will be out looking for sex once law and order has gone,... so I would suggest all the women get themselves at least a knife, or learn to protect themselves in some way

thats not sex, that is criminality, and i'm sure we all have ways of dealing with criminals included in our plans, i know i have.

Well BP it is a statistical truth that during tough times people have more children (and therefore more sex), and we're all prepping for some pretty tough times. Also during a SHTF sex won't be on many peoples minds, survival will come first. Afterwards though people will need to deal with the emotional distress and for a lot of people sex helps and helps to forge an emotional closeness with whoever it is they're having it with.

Yes there are more important things to do in terms of preparedness but contraceptives are probably going to be worth having put away if you use them.

well PF, better be careful who your having it with,(our OHs may no longer be with us) if its some stranger dont go to sleep afterwards you may get a knife in the ribs. me? i think i'll go celebate thank you very much.

We have hundreds of tampons at our place. Every bag we have should house about 10-15 tampons, so we're fine for that.

As for contraception......shouldn't be a huge issue. That's what bumming is for haha.

Personally I hadn't really thought about this too much, but it's definitely something I need to consider.

As far as people saying they wouldn't be interested in bonking because the would be too busy trying to survive, I guess that depends on what your willing to do to survive.

I thought you was getting at using sex for bartering or 'you can sleep with me instead of killing me or stealing all my stuff' etc not about procreation ?

That's exactly what I was getting at, sex can also be used as a way to get close to people to get what you want for example the honey trap or prostitution.
